Sage Lewis’ Search News Video
Google once again is everywhere in the news.
Google Analytics:
Google Analytics used to be a program called Urchin. Urchin used to be software. Google bought Urchin and made it an online application. Now Google is bringing back the software version. It’s in beta and you can get a 90 day trial of the software. If you are a raw logs person, this is certainly a program to consider.
Google Analytics is rolling out new features including improved site search reporting of on-site search. This can be really valuable to know what phrases are search for on your site.
Web 2.0 tracking… do have lots of Ajax on your site? Now Google Analytics can tell you what’s happening with that.
Tagless outbound link tracking. Now easy as can be.
Google Reader:
Do you use RSS feeds? Google Reader is a fancy feed reader and it’s Sage’s favorite. On the left hand side there is an option called add subscriptions. Click it! Go on, click it! Type in a search term to find feeds or type in a feed URL and it will tell you how many Google Reader subscribers that feed had.
Google AdWords Keyword Tool:
Nice, nice, nice tool with new features like…oh, just go check it out cause I have more news to share.
Google Webmaster Tools:
Your inbound links are updated more frequently for your pleasure.
YouTube:
YouTube videos are now appearing in Google News. Could be that your YouTube video could end up on Google News.
Yahoo!:
Will be providing paid search for WebMD. If you are an advertiser, this tid-bit of knowledge could be quite handy
Gooruze:
A brand new social media site on the interweb…. Gooruze! It’s a social media environment for people like Sage, web marketers, SEOs, SEMs, blobity-blahs to hang out. Chat, post, podcast, video, whatever. I don’t know if it will be any good or not but it’s nice to see it out there.
